Copyright Ownership

By submitting any design to a competition on UNOFFICIAL, you immediately and permanently transfer all copyright ownership and all other intellectual property rights in that design to Gooverio Labs. You will no longer own any rights to the design after submission. Gooverio Labs becomes the sole owner of the design and may use it for any purpose without further permission or compensation beyond the initial prize money and potential commissions as outlined in the Terms of Service.

Rights Transferred to Gooverio Labs

Upon submission, Gooverio Labs receives complete ownership including the right to:

  • • Produce and sell merchandise featuring the design
  • • Market and advertise using the design
  • • Display the design on any platform or marketing materials
  • • Modify, alter, or create derivative works from the design
  • • License or sell the design to third parties
  • • Register copyright or trademark protection for the design
  • • Use the design for any commercial or non-commercial purpose

You cannot use, reproduce, or sell the design after submission, even if it does not win the competition.

What You May Still Do

After transferring ownership to Gooverio Labs, you may:

  • • Mention that you created the design in your portfolio or resume
  • • State that the design was submitted to UNOFFICIAL

You may NOT display the design image, create merchandise with it, sell it, license it, or use it in any way. The design belongs entirely to Gooverio Labs.

Design Protection

UNOFFICIAL implements multiple protection measures to safeguard designs owned by Gooverio Labs:

  • • Visible watermarks during voting
  • • Low-resolution display to prevent theft
  • • Right-click and download prevention
  • • AI-powered plagiarism detection

Once you submit a design, Gooverio Labs owns it and will take action against any infringement. If you discover someone has copied a design you submitted, contact legal@unofficialng.com and Gooverio Labs will handle enforcement as the copyright owner.

Trademark Usage

Designs may reference university names, company brands, or state symbols for identification purposes. Such use is protected as nominative fair use and transformative work. However, designs must not copy official logos exactly or imply false endorsement.

DMCA Takedown Procedure

If you believe content on UNOFFICIAL infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to legal@unofficialng.com with:

  • • Description of copyrighted work
  • • URL of infringing content
  • • Good faith statement
  • • Statement of accuracy under penalty of perjury
